The DLD College London Virtual End of Year Arts Show 2020 is a celebration of our students’ creativity. Art Department staff prepare for this annual event months in advance. This year, due to the pandemic, the physical display of students’ artworks was sadly postponed. However, we recognise the importance of celebrating students’ creative achievements throughout the year. Therefore, this year our Arts Show is a virtual and online experience.
Our Virtual End of Year Arts Show 2020 is a presentation of final pieces and outcomes from students studying A Level Art, Graphics and Photography, IFP Fashion Management and GCSE Art, Craft and Design. I congratulate all students on their achievements, creativity, innovation and determination. Special thanks and praise goes to all the arts students who have so actively participated in department lessons throughout lockdown and who were so resolute in their determination to keep on being productive and creative. I hope the visual arts has provided you with a positive opportunity for expression at this time.
To all the students who have passed through the Art Department this year, we wish you all the very best in your future studies at International Art Colleges and Universities. Keep on being creative and making a positive difference in this world every day.
Best wishes
Ed McCool
Head of Art, Graphics and Photography Department

On Wednesday 25th September we were delighted to welcome Michelin-starred chef Atul Kochhar for the official opening of the new Global Kitchen. Over the summer catering staff and external contractors were busy working hard to give the refectory area a total transformation and provide a bright, comfy and welcoming space for new and returning students. The theme for the kitchen was global food which perfectly reflects the diversity of the College.
Our new chef Oliver has been doing a fantastic job since the start of term, fully embracing the theme with an ever changing selection of exciting menus.
It was fantastic to hear Atul speak to pupils and staff given his illustrious career at some of the UK’s top Indian restaurants. Atul has been at the forefront of changing how people perceive and experience Indian cuisine and indeed was the first ever Indian chef to receive a Michelin star, awarded in London in 2001 whilst he was at Tamarind.
Atul spoke very warmly and kindly to students and it was a real privilege to watch him unveil our new plaque marking the occasion.
