There are many exciting activities offered by the college to supplement and extend the excellent work done in the classroom. Co-curricular activities (CCAs) are clubs and activities at school that are outside timetabled lessons. Our co-curricular programme is built around our students needs and wants, supporting them on their academic journey.
We emphasise the importance of a student’s involvement in co-curricular activities (CCAs) as a way of building their personal learning goals outside of their core studies. We tailor our activities with individual guidance, support and care, providing students with over 50 clubs and activities to choose from, with the aim of getting students to try new things, develop new skills and build confidence within our safe school environment.
CCAs cover a range of themes, with students attending a CCA Fair at the beginning of the academic year to sign up to activities of their choice. CCAs can vary from joining our DLD Dragons Esports Gaming Team, to learning about plants in the Horticulture Club – there’s something for everyone and we are always taking suggestions from students to develop and introduce new clubs that they would like to join at DLD!
CCAs develop interests and talents, stimulate creative thought, drive social and organisational skills, while at the same time allowing students to get involved in an activity of their choice.
This benefits the student through providing them with the space, tools and guidance to explore subjects outside the curriculum and to hone skills that they wish to develop.
Some examples of added benefits include:
The CCAs on offer at DLD change annually dependent on students interests in the activities. At the beginning of the academic year, students attend the CCA Fair in the Atrium where staff showcase the activities that are on offer and students can find out more and sign up to clubs of their choice.

We are proud to be an approved Duke of Edinburgh Award centre. Offering students the chance to complete their Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.
DofE is a life changing experience that DLD recognises as a huge benefit to participating young people and we encourage our students to get involved. It’s an opportunity to have fun with friends, discover new talents and interests while developing transferable skills and increasing employability.
The awards are split into 4 sections – volunteering, physical, skills and expedition. It is a way for students to challenge themselves and work towards leadership roles. It requires determination, teamwork and accountability, skills that are welcomed by employers and universities.
We recognise the benefits of regular physical activity and encourage our students to lead an active lifestyle.
We have a range of onsite facilities including:
At DLD College London, our core values that we instil into our community include; Tolerance, Respect, Academic Curiosity, Community Centred and Kindness.
We actively work to instil our values into school life at DLD as part of our Character Education initiative. This contributes to the extended development of our students outside of achieving their academic qualifications, giving them the tools and support to truly know how to drive as mature, confident, and independent young people in school and life outside of DLD.
