DLD College London’s Student Council has been at the heart of a series of successful fundraising initiatives throughout the academic year, demonstrating the school community’s commitment to making a positive impact. Through a range of creative events, students have raised funds for several important charities, supporting causes that make a real difference in people’s lives.

One of the highlights of the fundraising efforts was the Christmas Party in aid of Evelina Children’s Hospital. The festive event featured a lucky dip, games, and holiday-themed activities, bringing joy to students while raising funds to support the hospital’s vital work with children raising an impressive £500.

In support of Macmillan Cancer Support, the Student Council hosted a bake sale with the generous help of the school’s kitchen staff, who provided delicious cupcakes and cookies. Students and staff eagerly participated, purchasing sweet treats during breaks to contribute to the charity’s efforts in supporting individuals affected by cancer raising £600.

Lady Garden Foundation was the recipient of £564. The Student Council organized an ice cream sale, offering a variety of frozen treats to students and staff. The event was met with great enthusiasm, with proceeds helping to raise awareness and funds for women’s health and gynaecological cancer research.

For Cancer Research UK, the Student Council found a unique way to celebrate National Teacher’s Day by selling Krispy Kreme donuts. Students took the opportunity to show their appreciation for their teachers while also contributing to a crucial cause in the fight against cancer raising £210.

Principal James Kidd praised the Student Council’s efforts, saying, “These fundraising events showcase the compassion, leadership, and community spirit of our students. Their dedication to supporting important causes is truly inspiring, and I am incredibly proud of their achievements.”

Through their fundraising initiatives, DLD students have demonstrated not only generosity but also a strong commitment to social responsibility. The success of these events is a testament to their enthusiasm and dedication to making a difference, setting an inspiring example for the school community.
