Continued Success for DLD Art students at the Annual ISA Art Competition in 2024

25th October 24

On the 8th of October, on behalf of DLD’s Art & Design Department, Ben Clements and I took a selection of some of our best student Artworks for entry into the annual London West Area Independent Schools Association Art Competition at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, near Maidenhead.

I am extremely pleased to report that our submission resulted in 4 awards. The awards were spread across four different categories, reflecting the strength and breadth of the Art & Design provision DLD’s thriving Art Department. This included awards in painting, drawing, photography, and textiles. These awards amounted to a third of our permitted entries.

I would like to thank Ben, Jack, our Head of Department Jack, and the Art Department colleagues, especially our creative Arts Technician, Michael Whitfield, for all the time and effort they have put into helping with the co-coordination of our submission. Their hard work and support are greatly appreciated. The calibre of our students’ work and awards, achieved with our expert teaching staffs’ committed teaching and guidance, always allow us to submit a varied range of extremely strong work. These awards also maintain our 100% record of winning awards every year since we started submitting to this event, something that we can all be extremely proud of.
