British Science Week is a ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) taking place between 8th and 17th March 2024. During this engaging event, students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of exciting talks and activities. Here are some highlights of the events taking place at DLD College London:

Virtual Talks by STEM Professionals: Renowned scientists, engineers, and researchers deliver captivating talks on various topics.

Exploring Diverse Fields: Talks cover diverse areas such as space exploration, environmental conservation, and engineering. Students can choose sessions aligned with their interests and aspirations.

Interactive Q&A Sessions: Students can directly interact with experts during live Q&A sessions. It’s a fantastic opportunity to ask questions, seek advice, and learn from those at the forefront of scientific advancements.

Inspiring Role Models: Talks often feature inspiring role models, including female scientists and underrepresented groups. These stories encourage students to pursue STEM careers and challenge stereotypes.

Accessible Online Format: All talks are held virtually, making them accessible to students.

Year 09 students will have an opportunity to participate in a national poster competition through their science lessons. House points to be awarded for creativity, content and effective communication internally and put forward for external assessment.Best of luck to those involved!
